Prevent continued loss of endangered cetaceans by creating Whale Heritage Sites
Posted by Graham Drucker | england, United Kingdom
Whales and dolphins give our seas and oceans their character and are a fundamental part of our cultural identity, yet many species around the world continue to be under threat of extinction. Drastic new approaches are needed to ensure their survival.
Our solution is to create a pioneering new network of Whale Heritage Sites and an associated Whale Heritage Fund to support whales and dolphins in countries with disadvantaged economies - and so recognising the world's best places where people are living in harmony with these magnificent wild animals, and bringing together culture, economy and the marine environment.

How can science help identify the world’s best whale and dolphin areas, and how to ensure that these sites can remain sustainable?
