Ocean Pollution

I don't have that much science or marine biology background but I have lived near the beach all of my life. As an avid beach goer, I have noticed the increase in plastics, glass, and other forms of trash on the sand and in the water. Perhaps there could be a community service/volunteer group that meet on a weekly basis to help clean up beach in the South Bay area. If there is already one, maybe it could be made more public so more people could become involved.
