Kill Dead Zones

Posted by James Smoot | California, United States

Dead zones are the byproduct of excessive nutrient loads (N/P). N/P are needed for food/biofuel/biomass sequestration of carbon. Use combination of approaches (e.g., integrated multitrophic aquaculture and coastal restoration/biomass cultivation) to redirect nutrients while mitigating other environmental/human needs. The long-term goal would be that the solutions are economically sustainable.
